Job Location: Dar es Salaam.
Job Purpose:
Provide Technical Support to the Core Operations Manager in the day to day organization and management of the Core Network Operation and Maintenance. Effectively providing technical coaching to the Core Network engineers and implementing the best operational processes and practices to achieve optimal core network performance.
Main functions of the Section
1. Provide Second Level Support and Technical Knowledge Transfer to the NSS & NOC ENGINEERS.
2. Core Node Alarm investigation fault management.
3. Review Core Network Change Request and provide advice.
4. Instituting Optimal Operational Processes and Practices to achieve set Operational KPI’s.
5. Responsible for proactive planning and scheduling of Preventive Maintenance.
6. Ensure that all corrective maintenance activities are carried out within acceptable MTTR targets.
7. Ensure that Spares are adequately dimensioned and are readily available at designated outlets.
8. Drive end to end process documentation, implementation and compliance to processes.
9. Coordinate and Assist the Core Manager with:
10. Act as an alternative backup for NSS Manager.

- Critical System Backup required for Business Continuity Management.
- Liaise with Core Planning Department for key business Solution enablers required in the core Nodes, PBX, POI, Roaming definitions and short code implementation.
10. Act as an alternative backup for NSS Manager.
