Descriptions:
Agrics Ltd is a social enterprise registered in Kenya and working in Kenya and Tanzania that procures quality farm inputs off-season when prices are low, and sells and distributes them to smallholder farmers on credit at the onset of the production season. Availing the inputs on credit overcomes the main threshold experienced by most smallholders, being a lack of cash.
In parallel, together with partner ICS, Agrics builds the farmers' capacity by providing them access to up-to-date and practical knowledge related to agricultural practice and stimulates them to use this knowledge to improve their farm practice, significantly increasing the impact of providing quality, inputs.
Agrics competitive advantage in the market is its integrated approach, combining a strong relationship with customers, an efficient logistical process, a credit scheme and capacity building.
Being a social enterprise, Agrics aims to' increase household income and food security for smallholder farmers through increased yields. .
Function Title: Field Coordinator (3 positions)
Reports to: Business Manager
Location: Shinyanga, Meatu, Maswa
Position type: Full time (1 year contract, renewable)
Summary:
The Field Coordinator will grow the number of farmers buying Agrics inputs in the assigned area, while making sure the full business cycle, including sales, delivery of goods and credit collection, is carried out efficiently and effectively. S/he will act as the intermediate between Agrics and the smallholder farmers, ensuring customer satisfaction on the one hand and full credit recovery on the other.

Key Responsibilities.
- Implement approved work plans within the agreed timelines and budgets, .and recover all credits at 100% and facilitate Agrics cash transactions.
- Maintain records of business transactions and activities in the assigned site, highlight problem areas and in consultation with the Business Manager, redress them highlight strategies for success.
- Provide summary reports and feedback to the Business Manager on a regular basis; provide weekly and monthly updates on KPls.
- Work closely with the Projects Manager to facilitate formation/strengthening of farmer cooperatives NSL in respective program areas.
- Supervising Community Facilitators deliverables to ensure efficient and effective business operations
- Ensure farmer contracts and preceding farmer documents are duly filled and submitted for
Qualification:
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Agribusiness, Agricultural Economics or Entrepreneurship.
Skills:
- Knowledge, skills and experience in credit management and credit recovery;
- Experienced in working with rural communities especially farmers
- Fully proficient computer skills and use of relevant software and other applications, e.g. word processing, spreadsheets, internet, PP, database packages etc.; ,
- Willingness and ability to undertake regular field visits and interact with a wide cross-section of partners including Government, community-based organizations (CBO) and companies;
- A team player and self-starter able to inspire and influence action and with capacity to work under pressure and to meet strict deadlines;
- Mature judgment combined with a proactive, resourceful and energetic approach to problem solving;
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; and strong organizing and time management skills;
Experience:
- At least 5years' experience working with rural communities;
