One of our corporate client in Insurance Industry is a general insurer offering innovative and responsive insurance solutions. We have learned to adapt in this constantly changing society, and develop comprehensive products that are relevant to our clients. We currently have over 60,000 members in our fold and have partnered with over 700 medical service providers across East Africa; a strong network of hospitals, clinics and doctors.
In pursuit of our ambitious growth plan, we are looking to fill the position below in our Sales Department.

Job Purpose

Reporting to the Country Manager, the Sales Manager is primarily accountable for the revenue generation through defined distribution channels to ensure the business achieves overall growth strategy in terms of member numbers and profitable revenue.
Key Responsibility Areas:
1. Participate in the development and execution of the organizations overall strategy, operating goals and objectives.
2. Develop, assign and monitor the organization annual revenue budget to the distribution channels
3. Prepare and monitor departments’ annual expenditure budget
4. Supervision of distribution managers to ensure goals and overall objectives are met
5. Develop motivating sales incentives to ensure both internal and external distributors performance is enhanced
6. Ensure the sales teams attains high level of proficiency and proper understanding of procedures and products through regular trainings updates via various channels
7. Identify new revenue markets and potential business development related risks and appraise the management regularly
8. Generate weekly, monthly and quarterly revenue performance reports for board and management consumption

Required Qualifications, Knowledge, Skill and Ability
Knowledge & Experience Required
Essential
• Bachelors Degree
• CII certification or its equivalent (Added Advantage)
• 5 years relevant experience preferably in the insurance industry
• Excellent Negotiation and presentation skills
• Good analytical and problem solving skills

Desirable 
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and business development acumen
• Computer proficiency
