Responsibilities
• undertaking land surveys/measurements such as cadastral, topographical and engineering surveys using a variety of specialist technical equipment (including Total Station, theodolites, laser alignment devices, Differential GPS etc.)
• analyzing data using plans, maps, charts and computer applications such as CAD and GIS
• presenting data to clients
• advising about technical matters and whether the construction plans are viable
• writing survey reports
• Managing projects and/or multi-disciplinary teams
•Producing and/or advising about construction plans and drawings.

Competencies
- Teamwork; The capacity and willingness to work well within team environment
- Health and safety; Understand and make use of work places health and safety policies
- Analytical calculation; the ability to carry out simple mathematical calculations and understanding coordinates geometry
- Education
- Bachelor of Land Survey or Geomatics from a recognized institution.
Working Experiences
- A minimum of three years of progressively responsible experience in surveying. Outstanding experience in cadastral survey is compulsory.
- Knowledge of CityPlan areas of professional activities is desired. Must be registered with Surveyors Registration Board
Language
- English and Swahili are the working language of CityPlan group. For this post, fluency in written and oral English is required.
Assessment Method
- Evaluation of qualified candidates for this position may include substantive assessment which will be followed by competency based interview.
