CONTROLLER/MANAGER

Reporting To: Technical Manager NER

Primary Purpose of the Job

To implement, maintain, and audit the Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental systems on site, as well as the overall training thereof while managing site contracts and contractors and ensuring that site buildings' maintenance is of acceptable standards.

Roles and Responsibilities
Implement the occupational health, safety and environment system in the work place
Apply occupational health, safety and environmental principles
Manage installation and maintenance contracts
Drive site NOSA (A South African Standard
Safety system) Safety initiatives
Managing contractors
Conduct Occupational Health and Safety training for the site '
Drive compliance to safety and, housekeeping standards to all staffs and contractors

Key Results Area

• External audit Scores of acceptable standards
• Accident Rate on Site reduced
• Contractors Control
• High level of Site Housekeeping standards.
• Site Clean and tidy
• Refuse and waste removal from site
• Site Fumigation
All drains clean and flowing as intended
• 'Reliability of building maintenance and site infrastructures
• Up, to date site license and other legal requirements

Competence Requirement
Bachelor of science in engineering or its OHS equivalent
Knowledge of Occupational Health and
Safety / OSHA certificates & NOSA system is an added advantage
High computer literacy
Fluent in both English and Kiswahili
Minimum 2 years' experience as a senior OHS in Manufacturing or Industrial environment
