Job Description:
LTD Interface-BU role exists to be ensure BU‘s continued business success by ensuring workforce competence through implementing LTD Strategy. It exists to drive ie. Top –Down, the Group LTD interventions and trigger/develop/feed forward ie. Bottom Up, the BU’s LTD insights which becomes input for Group LTD Strategy.
The Role of BU - LTD Interface:
a. Scope in Respective BU:
i. To actively seek direction from HRM/HOD’s/BH for LTD matters affecting BU s performance and competitive advantage.
ii. Undertake regular assessments of learning, training and development needs and implement programs in consultation with HOLTD/ HRM or approved vendors that meet identified LTD needs
iii. Maintain close communication with line managers and staff to discuss training needs nating from ther ongoing gap assessments or from the performance management process, and to ensure that the BU has comprehensive Training Plans in place
iv. iv. Keep managers and staff informed of internal and external training and development opportunities and ensure that extensive annual training calendar is in place at respective BU
v. Develop, and monitor the BU training budget in conjunction with the HRM to ensure that the best quality training and development is provided within the established budget framework
vi. Implementation of effective and efficient processes for the evaluation and feedback of all training and development as per HOLTD guidelines
vii. To facilitate training personally where ever deemed appropriate as per the approved program
viii. Maintain a consistent awareness of developments in the training and development field to ensure that the BU continues to take advantage of best practice, and liaise with the HRM/HOLTD/BH for such developments.
ix. Manage the maintenance of all necessary training and development records as well as talent management for all staff, and ensure that comprehensive records are in place at respective BU, and to disseminate MIS/reports. To adopt suitable LTD information systems.
x. Manage/Implement in conjunction with HRM in the respective Business Units, the GTP and Internship Programs.
xi. To Identify targeted trainees for each program and do complete nomination mgt. and related liaison with HOD/HRM/BH
xii. To do Pre & Post training communication to all Employees, HOLTD, HRMs, EKPs (External Knowledge Partners), Internal Facilitators
xiii. To comply with Local Statutory requirements with regards to Learning, Training & Development, ensure levies are paid, returns are file and maximum possible reimbursements are secured.
xiv. To curate training material/artifacts/literature and maintain a Training Repository
xv. To facilitate post training- transfer of learning to workplace benefit.
xvi. To maintain data base of local KP’s (internal and external) and process their payments as per approval and process laid down by HOLTD/HRM
xvii. To assist in KP (Internal and external) evaluation as per HOLTD laid down process.
xviii. To ensure all logistical support for training is provided i.e. venue, nominations, stationery, travel, visa, training material, accommodation, attendance certificate, photography and ICT support. To Comply with Training Compliance Checklist which shall be released by HOLTD.
Key Skills:
• Tanzanian Nationals only.
• Plus year end bonus as per performance if joined before may.
• Experience : min 3 years after graduation total 4 years.
Key Specs:
• Ability and proven exposure to Train and facilitate workshops (min 15 months of 30 program days)
• Competence and exposure of entire Training processes, Training needs, budget, planning, pre training assessments, training nomination, logistics, liaison with trainers, post training assessments, training evaluation communicatin, reportings MIS.
• Command over Advanced Excel and Advanced PPT
• Solid English and Swahili language command
• Graduate: Education or HR preferred else any is fine
• A flair for understanding technical / operations / Manufacturing.
