DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

•Facilitate microbiological examination of food, drugs, water, Chemicals products and their raw materials;

•Develop and conduct sampling and testing programs, including Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) for the section;

•Review,  and Validate analytical methods

•Prepare  technical reports of tested samples and provision of consultancy services; 

•Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual summary of samples analyzed;

•Initiate and conduct  researches relevant to the section;

•Represent the GCLA in court proceedings; and

•Develop and implement section plans and budgets.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

•Master’s Degree either in Chemistry, Biochemical Engineering, Food Science and Technology, Microbiology, Biochemistry or Biotechnology, from recognized higher learning institutions. 

•Must possess Computer literacy.

•Should have at least nine (9) years working experience in related field, two (2) of which in a senior position.

REMUNERATION: Salary Scale GCS 10.1
