ASSISTANT PRODUCTION MANAGER - PLASTICS
Job Location: Dar es Salaam
Summary:
A reputable industry in Dar es Salaam is looking for an Assistant Production Manager – Plastics, who
will be responsible for organizing and coordinating the available manpower, machineries and materials
(raw and packaging) to produce high quality products at reasonably low costs. Their duties will include:-
MAIN DUTIES:
1. Ensuring volume targets are met as per daily production plan (provided by Product Manager).
2. Ensuring that, sufficient Raw and Packaging materials are available for production.
3. Ensuring the machines are in good working condition.
4. Ensuring that, Quality and standards are met and workers are aware of it.
5. Analyzing achievement of daily production and preparing relevant reports.
6. Ensuring hygiene of the factory is taken care (GMP and GHP).
7. Reconciling daily production; losses and material consumed (establish Recovery).
8. Educating workers and emphasizing that they adhere to safety practices.
9. Implementing the Preventive Maintenance program. (PM)
10. Carrying out monthly Stocktaking and dispatching the documents to Production Manager
11. Preparing monthly Production report.
12. Comparing the set KPI’s with the achieved results for future correction.
13. Controlling the spares inventory for smooth operations and advising the Production Manager.
14. Planning and organising machines dismantling and reassembling for cleaning purposes and sanitation.
Work Experience / Skills:
Bachelor of Science degree or mechanical engineering degree
Occupational Health, safety and Environmental management skills
Minimum 3 years experience in production industry especially Plastic
Computer literate
Management and leadership skills
