REPORTING TO: HEAD OF FINANCE & STRATEGY

The role's objectives are mainly on improving the quality of financial management and systems that support the Bank's wide business objectives. Specifically to support the Country Head of Finance and Strategy in executing his/her mandate that ensures proper decisions are taken, development and implementation of strategy, structures, policies, tools, processes and procedures that ensure internal efficiencies, and effective preparation and dissemination of financial information for management decision making and regulatory & statutory reporting purposes.

Key responsibilities:
- Maintenance of accurate and complete accounting records with particular emphasis on the GL and sub-ledgers
- Support the business by ensuring all invoiced and contractual payments are properly supported, authorized and executed.
- Ensure proper financial controls exist to ensure that all financial records are accurate and complete.
- Production of timely, accurate and complete reports to statutory authorities.
- To liaise with external and internal auditors and support them to complete their audits in good time.
- To promote the use of the ERP system by ensuring staff are well trained and the system fits the organization's needs ..
- To collect and remit all statutory taxes and deductions on time. .
Qualifications and experience required:
- University Degree - Upper second or equivalent in a Business related degree. MBA added advantage.
- Full CPA qualifications .
- 7 years' experience in a banking environment with experience in strategy and finance or business development.
- Advanced MS-Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Project management experience (desirable)' .
- Good understanding of strategy development and implementation
- Hands on experience with technology tools such as SAP, Hyperion & (ore banking systems
